These pictures were taken the weekend of August 11. Tons of weeds that were taking water away from the vines so I hired two crews to have at them (no way I could handle it myself, in a lot of places the weeds were over 6-foot tall). But the vine seemed pretty healthy. I did a bit of trimming as a lot of growth had happened since my July pruning.
It’s very hard to get any kind of reliable help in Corrales it seems so the crews took over 1 week to do the work and one quit halfway. DIsappointing but it looks liek it’s done.
Only one of the plants we put in in May didn’t make it (a Grenache). And a lot of plants were already at the cordon so I split the shoots and tied them up per Josh’s advice. This is getting exciting!
